CONCERT SERIES 2016 ~23 April-14 May~Auditoire de Calvin

ORGAN CONCERT - 6 P.M.

An organ concert series on the New Aubertin Organ (2014) in Calvin's Auditorium will take place from Saturday April 23rd to Saturday May 14th 2016. The organists performing are among the most renowned professional musicians in Geneva and the series will include solo organ recitals as well as music written for voice and saxophone with organ.

23 April
Ewa Rzetecka et Hubert Niewiadomski "Duo Polonais" (organ and baritone)
Works by Bach, Haendel, Purcell and Couperin

30 April
Vincent Thévenaz et Vincent Barras "Duo W" (organ and saxophone)
Klezmer Suite, Bach, Bruch, Bernstein and Thévenaz

07 May
François Delor (organ)
Works by Muffat, Bach, Mozart and Haydn

14 May
Francis Jacob "Perles baroques" (organ)
Early 17th Century Italian Music
Works by Couperin and Bach

All concerts are FREE ENTRY with a collection at the end for the performers and the upkeep of the organ. All concerts will take place on Saturday evening, 6 p.m. at the Auditoire de Calvin, 1 Place Taconnerie, Geneva Old Town.

The first concert with the new instrument took place on Saturday May 3, 2014.

> The formal inauguration and hand-over of the organ to the Eglise Protestante de Genève took place Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 8 p.m.
The New Organ Inauguration Concert Series terminated with this concert.  Mr. François Delor, Organist of the Saint-Pierre Cathedral performed.  His specially designed program (below) took advantage of the full capabilities of the new organ.
