It's our pleasure to announce the COST Training School on "Organic Semiconductors - from Photophysics to Applications", which will take place at IMDEA Nanoscience, Madrid, on January, 26.-30., 2015.

The school is focussed on the electronic, optical and photophsysical properties of organic semiconductors, discussed by means of optical spectroscopy and theoretical/computational approaches. It includes also a thorough introduction ('tricks & traps') to practical spectroscopy, as well as hands-on courses in quantum-chemistry, and global analysis (see attachment).

The target audience are Master & PhD students and Postdocs working in the area with a background in Chemistry, Physics or Materials Science.

Being a COST action activity (MP1302 Nanospectroscopy), there is no fee for the event. Travel grants (for EU a/o COST action members) are foreseen to partially cover the expenses, preferably for students from regions a/o groups with limited financial background.

The number of participants is limited to 50; places will in principle be given on first come first serve basis. Anyway, we will try to get as many groups involved as possible; thus, in case you want to send more than two students, we would consider those only in case free places are still available.
