Oren Gal received his B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, 2004, graduated his M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering, 2009, and he is currently PhD candidate at his final research stages at the Technion, supervised by Prof. Yerach Doytsher.
Oren is the editor of marine robotics research book - "Advances in Marine Robotics", joint with leading research groups around the world published recently. Oren is also the chair of the Israeli Marine Robotics conference 2013, and 2014.
Oren recently presented part of his research work in seminar lecture at MIT hosted by Prof. Hover, and cooperate with other MIT's group.
Oren also cooperate with several leading research groups in Israel: Marine Robotics Center, Technion Autonomous Systems Program (TASP) headed by Prof. Weihs; LAR Group at BGU headed by Prof. Guterman; Leon H. Charney School of Marine Sciences (CSMS), University of Haifa, headed by Prof. Zvi Ben-Avraham.
His research interests include Motion planning in dynamic environments, 3D Visibility Analysis and Probabilistic Visibility Analysis, Visibility Clustering, Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV) navigation and trajectory planning, Unmanned Underwater vehicles (UUV)
and SSS&SAS ATD algorithms, Cooperative Decision and Control for Multi Underactuated-Robot and sensors-based navigation for USV and UUV.
