Coach Tolhurst's Bio:
Coach Tolhurst is entering his 7th season with the University of Oregon Strength and Conditioning Department. He is in charge of the physical development and implementation of Men and Women’s Tennis Strength programs. Coach Tolhurst works with Football as an Assistant and aids in the recovery of injured players.
Prior to joining the Ducks, Coach Tolhurst worked with various teams at different levels in the same capacity. He previously spent one season at Cal working with Football, Softball, and Gymnastics. Before Cal, Coach Tolhurst was a Graduate Assistant with the Ducks, an Intern at the University of South Florida, and helped out with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Coach Tolhurst was the Head Strength Coach with the Vienna Vikings Football Club in Europe and recently assisted the Cleveland Browns in Pre Season.
Coach Tolhurst has a Master of Science from Oregon in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia. He is a member of the NSCA and CSCCA as well as a Performance Coach for the USAW.
Before entering the Strength and Conditioning realm, Coach
Tolhurst played football in Europe and in the CFL with the BC Lions. He was a First Team All-Canadian in college
and won a National Championship.
