November EarthWatchers

Julia Simpson drew this picture when she was in the 4th grade at St. James. It shows four different ways to reuse a soda bottle - as a money bank, a planter, a pencil holder or a bird feeder.
Reusing things is good, but reducing is even better. Buying your soda in bigger bottles reduces how much plastic is used. Drinking water instead of soda, from your own reusable bottle, is even better, and it's healthier for you, too!

Cam Hoppe's picture is a simple reminder to think about where we dispose of used materials - if they can be recycled, always be sure to put them in the right bin.
