Thanks Waterloo Ford for painting the piano  - free of charge.

April 25 - Pianos got delivered to CKUA today, thanks again Precision PIano Moving and Storage. I've been getting a lot of emails from folks who saw the neat articles around town to donate pianos. Thanks everyone. I even had one helpful caller offer up her player piano for the not-so-musically inclined, haha. She said she had signed rolls by Liberace. It was hard to say no, but I was afraid her nice piano would not make it through the tough summer outside. Sad. Anyway, Days Paint, Benjamin Moore, a stalwart Edmonton business, donated some great primer, paint, and lacqueur. lol, now if I could just get someone to donate the insurance money for general liability. I've got insurance covered at the other locations, but the Canada Place Pocket Park is still uninsured to this date. I can always buy insurance and crowdfund for covering it, but I'll hold out hope to another option. Anyway, I'm getting some help painting on Saturday and Sunday from friends and friendly organizations, so I'll have photos for that. I'm excited, thanks, everyone.

April 13 - Yesterday I stopped by Precision Piano Moving and Storage to see the first pianos to be placed for the project. The pianos will be delivered to the CKUA space for painting Sunday, April 27, when some local art students will paint the pianos and volunteers will help prep the pianos for their debut May 2 at the CKUA event at 1 p.m. I played the pianos here (two will be setup side by side at the park), and they're purdy sounding for sure. It's a shame to think these might have just gone to the eco-station, they've still got good life in them. We'll see what shape they're in after a month and a half out in the Edmonton summer.
