Open Meadows Foundation is a grant-making organization seeking projects that promote gender/racial/economic justice. The projects must be led by and benefit women and girls.

Open Meadows is specifically looking to direct its resources towards changing the world. We are looking for projects focused on activism, political change, and empowerment directed by, and benefiting women and girls. Examples include projects focused on: Standing Rock, boycotts, marches, creation of new activist organizations, labor rights, community organizing, voting rights, environmental activism, economic rights, and other forms of political action encouraging participation by women and girls for women and girls.

Open Meadows Foundation funds projects that do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender identity and expression, sexual identity and expression, age or ability. We offer grants under $2000 to projects that:

* Are designed and implemented by women and girls;
* Reflect the diversity of the community served by the project in both
  its leadership and organization;
* Promote building community power; and
* Have limited financial access.

All of the above guidelines are applied in considering funding.

*Organizational budget should not exceed $75,000.*

Small and start-up organizations are
given priority.

Organizations will receive funding one time only.
We are currently re-organizing and are not accepting new applications. We will update our website when we are ready to announce our new programming.

Please note:
We are an all volunteer organization and are unable to provide confirmation or receipt or feedback. You will be informed of our final decision. Thank you.
