LNF (Letter Naming Fluency)

Overview
LNF assesses a student's ability to recognize individual letters and to say their letter names. Although it is not essential for achieving reading outcomes and is not an instructional target, it is a reliable indicator of risk. LNF student materials contain both upper- and lower-case letters in random order. Students are asked to name the letters. LNF is administered BOY Kinder through BOY Grade 1.
