Diamond Posse's 911 Tribute Ride

There were so many things that transpired on this journey. Such an awesome Road Captain Ruthie who took time off to travel to WI and lead me to our destinations. Sugar came along and what a blessing to share biker stories and laughs with Ruthie's sister and friends. The trails we blazed along the way. Meeting up with Lil' Scott's Customs from Sturtevant that had rebuilt Phoenix in record time after the deer escaped on the interstate. Rusty, Kevin Fireman Jim, Blondie (Kate) and Camille joined Ruth and I. Oh the fun we had. The stories the veterans shared that tugged on heart strings. The overall support for veteran lovers reaching out to veterans to show our support and gratitude. To the awesome party at Myers Duren Harley-Davidson in Tulsa and their crew. To the fantastic 911 parade at Gail's Harley-Davidson. The most striking things were the veterans. Man I love all of those who rode with for sure, but the veteran who used to ride the Flat Head, to the one who used to ride an Indian Chief, to Bo & Stephen that were home after serving in Iraq and Bob from Vietnam. They touched my heart beyond what I can sum into words. The joy in their eyes when they spoke of riding and the pain when they spoke of their war. Money can never give back the time taken, the joy lost or the demons that haunt them. So even still if all I can do is get on my Harley riding to say man I love you veterans and what you have given me, that I can do. I can listen, I can be still and hear what you speak, and I can look beyond the eyes as you share those demons that haunt you. I can't take them away, but know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am so deeply blessed by each and every veteran that has served and is serving this country and I know this. Thank you
