Book of the Week
The Last Battle by C. S. Lewis
Finishing of the Narnian series for the year - great ending!
What is the Gospel? by Greg Gilbert
A book by 9 Marks. This is a good basic book in the Gospel. Good for the most part.
The Horse and His Boy by C. S. Lewis
Another great Narnian stories - one of my favorite. I love this story of the humbling of Bree.
Three Men and a Maid by P. G. Wodehouse
Absolutely hilarious. Romantic comedy that only Wodehouse could put together.
Loving the Little Years: Motherhood in the Trenches by Rachel Jankovic
Rachel is the daughter of Doug and Nancy Wilson and this book meets family expectations.
A book that every young parent (not just moms) should read.
Murder Must Advertise by Dorothy L. Sayers
Another very good Lord Peter Whimsey mysteries.
An Experiment in Criticism by C. S. Lewis
Lewis looks at books from another anger - by how they affect the reader. He deals with the concept of the literary and non-literary reader.
Call the Sabbath a Delight by Walter Chantry
A good short treatment on the Sabbath. Both winsome and biblical.
For a Glory and a Covering: A Practical Theology of Marriage by Douglas Wilson
Think "Part 2" of Reforming Marriage. Wilson is brilliant in his teaching on biblical marriage and all that surrounds the topic: masculinity, femininity, headship, submission, love, respect, etc.
An Eschatology of Victory by J. Marcellus Kik
Kik is a postmillennialist and he approaches the subject by looking closely at Matthew 24-25 and Revelation 20 in this book. Very good book.
