Update: Olivet member's completed 200 hours of service! Thank you for serving our community!!

In 2017, Olivet will celebrate 200 years of Methodists working in Coatesville. In honor of our Bicentennial, the members of Olivet are committing to 200 hours of service. We are asking every member to commit some time to community service. All can serve. If every member offers some time, we will accumulate 200 hours of service in no time.

May 13  Olivet Spring Gardening — Meet at Olivet to spruce up the area around our church (9:00 - bring gloves, shovels, wheelbarrows, trash bags, rakes, etc.)

May 20 Olivet UMC at Work in Coatesville: Spruce up the Coatesville Library inside and out (10:00 to noon)

Three ways to serve:

1. Gardening: Bring tools and gloves to clean up outside around the library (5th Ave. & Lincoln Hwy) (Ages 0 to 100)

2. “Weeding” Books: Use a list provided by the library to find and pull items that have not been circulating. (Ages 12 to 100)

3. Planting: Donate funds for books in honor of Olivet’s 200th Anniversary ($1.00 and up). A book plate will be placed in all books added to library collection. (Ages 0 to ….)

Wednesdays -  Serve at Bread and Blessings Wednesday Lunches. Sign up in the Garden Room (11:00 - 2:00)

Tuesdays - Read to CKC children (5:15-5:45) Sign up in Garden Room. You can also donate books!

Any Day! Any project of your choosing that benefits our community!

We will keep a chart in the Garden Room to count hours. When you serve, fill in a square for every hour served. If you donate funds to the library, you can fill in a square. 200 hours will add up in no time.
