UMC Market is a brilliant and easy way to provide our church with help toward meeting our revenue goals and supporting our ministries. An introductory video found at features Moses Kumar, General Secretary of the General Council on Finance and Administration of the United Methodist Church (GCFA). He explains GCFA’s Corporate Partners Program and its goal to help local churches generate non-traditional revenue streams. As part of that program, GCFA is presenting
UMCMarket, a new online tool that will create micro-donations to all our churches, at no cost to the church. This simple browser- application has been vetted and approved by GCFA.

To register, follow the directions at After registering, just continue your online shopping as you usually do. Stores will donate 1-9% of your purchase amount to Olivet Church. Amazon, Macy’s, Expedia, Office Depot, Sears, Barnes & Noble,, Petco, and Lowe’s are
just some of the many stores included. UMCmarket Travel guarantees you the best rate and an automatic donation to your church every time you book your travel tickets.

This is not limited to Church members. Family, friends, co-workers, and others can register also. Let’s see what we can grow!

Bell Choir Recycling Fundraiser

There¹s nothing to buy! We are simply asking you to protect the environment by donating your used consumer electronics and unwanted, broken or mismatched jewelry. Your used item(s) will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations. 100% of the proceeds will help fund the purchase of new music and provide maintenance for the hand bells.

We are currently collecting the following items: Cell Phones, Inkjet Printer Cartridges, iPad's and Tablets, iPod's, Gold, Silver & Platinum Jewelry.

We do not need any of the accessories such as chargers and case protectors. Please do not include the accessories such as chargers and protective covers.

All of the items  receive are processed and recycled in accordance with the R2 Standard for Responsible Recycling. Many of the cell phones received are destroyed and recycled according to EPA guidelines. This process effectively destroys all information stored in the cell phones. In the event a cell phone is refurbished or resold for reuse each phone is data cleared in accordance with NIST Special Publication 800-88 "Guidelines for Media Sanitization" by our trained team of technicianed and data clearing is verified by someone in our quality control department. Our data clearing process wipes the phone's memory clean and enables a new number to be assigned. However, EcoPhones strongly recommends that donors clear the memories on their cell phones of any sensitive private information before donating them. In addition, donors should always ensure the service on any cell phone they donate has been disconnected, to prevent fraudulent use. EcoPhones will not be responsible for any information left stored in the memories of phones donated or their fraudulent use.

Please put any items you would like to recycle in the drop box in the Narthex or give items to Becky Givler. We greatly appreciate your support!
