Vermont Art Conservation and Art Restoration, with specialization in Paintings Conservation
Suki Fredericks is a Vermont-based paintings conservator who has worked in museums and the private sector since 1976. Her private studio serves museums, non-profit organizations, and individuals. Work may involve consolidation of paint/ground layers, tear repairs, strip linings, surface cleanings, varnish reductions, and collection surveys. Suki conserves paintings from collections throughout the Northeast, either in the studio or on-site, as necessary. Additional work includes paintings conservation at the Shelburne Museum as well as collaborative and mixed media treatments with Rustin Levenson Art Conservation Associates, the Vermont Historic Theater Curtain Project, Curtains Without Borders, WASHI Paper Conservation, and SLM Objects Conservation. Suki is graduate school and museum trained, with an M.A. in Art History and a Certificate in Conservation from The Institute of Fine Arts at NYU. She is a Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) and a member of IIC, WAAC, NECA, ICOM, AAM. A detailed resume is available upon request.
