Community Outreach

The Village School
Home to preschool children ages 2, 3, and pre-kindergarten since 1980, The Village School is dedicated to offer quality programs for children in an educational setting. We are truly blessed to be the home of such a wonderful school.

Food Pantry
In response to the economic downturn of 2008, it was recognized that we needed to help those adversely affected in our community. All the local churches fully participate in this program. Old Zionsville UCC and Zion’s Lutheran Evangelical Church, along with Upper Milford Mennonite Church and The Evangelical Congregation Churches of Vera Cruz and Hosensack gather and distribute non-perishable food and baby items for the community. Located at Zion's Lutheran Church, the pantry is open three times a month, the 2nd Monday, and Wednesday and Saturday of that week.

Volunteer are needed to help; please call the Church office at 610-966-3834.

Dillingersville School
In the mid 1700’s members of the Lutheran, Reformed (now UCC) and Mennonite faiths came together and built a “union” school that also served as a community meeting house and church. This building still stands today, and the three founding congregations continue to support this important piece of history. Join us for our annual Pilgrimage on the last Sunday of June.  There will be a musical performance under the big tent on Saturday night with food to purchase, and worship on Sunday morning. The old schoolhouse will be open for visitation.

Boy Scouts
In 1941, Boy Scout Troop 31 was established at Old Zionsville UCC, and we've proudly sponsored them ever since. Over the years, we've seen 86 boys attain Eagle Scout status. Today, there are 33 youths and 22 adult leaders in this active group. Boy Scout Troup 31 meets every Monday night.

Cub Scout Pack 31 meets at the church on two Tuesdays each month. Dens within the Pack (Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Webelos) meet separately one to three times per month. Between 20 and 25 boys, and 8 to 12 adults, are actively involved.
