Home Remedies using Toothpaste

From cleaning faucets, jewelry, removing CD scratching and treating acne blemishes.

Dab some toothpaste onto acne blemish and leave on overnight to absorb oils and speed up healing. 

Clean your jewelry with toothpaste! The grainy texture of toothpaste removes dirt lodged in small crevices and polishes jewelry to a brilliant shine. Not recommended for pearls, turquoise, Bakelite or rhinestones since their softer surfaces may scratch.  

3. Polish Faucets
Use toothpaste to clean and polish bathroom faucets, silver switch plates, and light fixtures. 

4. Collar Stains
Remove nasty collar stains from shirts with toothpaste. Using a brush gently rub toothpaste onto stained collar then wash as usual. Use white toothpaste!  

5. CD and DVD Scratches 
Apply a small dab of toothpaste on cloth and use to remove scratches on computer CD's and movie DVD's. 

6. Sneaker Stains
Apply some toothpaste onto the rubber of sneakers to remove scuff marks. 

7. Deodorizer
Remove food odors such as garlic and onion from hands with a quick wash of toothpaste and water. 

8. Defog 
Use to prevent diving masks from fogging. Dab a small amount of toothpaste onto the inside of goggles then rinse clean. 

9. Furniture Rings
Buff away water marks from wood furniture by dabbing a small amount of toothpaste onto a rag and polishing away the stain. 


10. Whitten Fingernail Stains
Use a whitening toothpaste and nail brush to remove yellow stains from fingernails. 

11. Clean Iron
White toothpaste acts like a gentle abrasive cleanser that's great for cleaning irons. Apply toothpaste onto cool iron and scrub with a sponge then rinse. 

12. Deodorize Thermoses and Baby Bottles
Apply some toothpaste onto an old toothbrush and scrub odors away without harmful cleaning products. 

13. Crayon Marks
Remove crayon marks from walls with toothpaste. Rub some toothpaste onto the wall and easily scrub away marks. 

14. Lipstick
Remove lipstick from your favorite shirt with white toothpaste. Vigorously rub toothpaste onto stain until it's completely removed then rinse with warm water. 

15. Ink Stains
Remove ink stains from clothing with white toothpaste. Dampen stain with cold water then apply a dab of white toothpaste on the stain and rub in until the stain is gone.
