Natural Mosquito Repellents and Itch Relief
Prevent insect and mosquito bites from occurring with natural oils and herbs. 
Don't use harsh chemicals when they are natural insect repellents available.













1. Essential Oil Repellent
IngredientsCitronella Oil, Lavender Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Jojoba Oil, Witch Hazel

These particular essential oils help to keep mosquitoes and other insects away without the toxic side effects of chemical repellents. Mix in a spray bottle three teaspoons of citronella oil with three teaspoons lavender oil, 1-1/2 teaspoons eucalyptus oil, two teaspoons jojoba oil. Shake to mix oils then add 8 ounces of witch hazel and shake the bottle again to mix ingredients thoroughly.  Spray solution onto skin and clothing to keep insects at bay. Avoid spraying in eyes. 



2. Orange and Lemon Peel Repellent
Rub exposed skin with orange or lemon peels to protect yourself against bites! Most citrus fruits will keep insects away; the smell of citrus repels insects.



3. Essential Oil Vodka Repellent
IngredientsVodka, Witch Hazel or Water, Citronella Oil, Lavender Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Jojoba Oil

Mix essential oils mentioned above (Essential Oil Repellent) but this time add 1/4 cup vodka, 1 cup witch hazel or purified water to make a repellent spray. Spray exposed skin avoiding eyes.  




4. Pennyroyal Insect Repellent Oil
Pennyroyal is a natural insect repellent. The strongest of all the essential oils which have been used as an insect repellent for centuries. Use pure oil or mix with witch hazel or water. 



5. Catnip Essential Oil Mosquito Repellent
A costly oil but just 1% will repel mosquitoes. 
IngredientsCatnip Oil, Isopropyl Alcohol, Water 

Combine in a spray bottle five tablespoons catnip oil, 1 cup isopropyl alcohol and 1 cup water. Shake well to mix ingredients thoroughly then ready to use. You can spray onto clothing, arms and legs avoiding eyes or open cuts. Some people may be sensitive to catnip oil so use caution. 



6. Mosquito Oil Repellents
Insect Repellent OilsCitronella Oil, Geranium Oil, Clove Oil, Cedar Oil, Castor Oil, Cinnamon Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Rosemary Oil, Lemon Eucalyptus Oil, Peppermint Oil

Just rub any of these oils onto your skin to protect yourself from mosquito bites and other pesky insects.  




7. Alka Seltzer Itch Relief
Dissolve two tablets of Alka-Seltzer in a glass of water then use a cotton ball to apply onto affected areas. The red discoloration will fade and within 15 minutes the itching. 



8. Ammonia Itch Relief
To relieve the itch of a mosquito bite use a cotton ball dabbed with ammonia and onto affected areas. Itching discomfort will disappear almost instantly. 




9. Baking Soda Itch Relief
Relieve discomfort from bee stings, insect bites, poison ivy, poison oak and poison sumac with a mixture of baking soda and water. Create a thick, spreadable paste with baking soda and water and apply onto affected areas to soothing relief. 



10. Hemp Seed Oil Itch Relief
Dab some hemp seed oil onto affected areas repeating as needed to relieve discomfort. 



11. Vinegar Insect Bite Relief
Dip a cotton ball into some white vinegar and dab onto affected areas to relieve the itch of a mosquito bite. Reapply when needed.
