Make your own Hairspray, Hair Gel, Shampoos & Conditioners! 


Learn how to make your own Hair Products that don't contain harsh chemicals that can strip hair of its natural oils and nutrients. 
Keep your hair looking healthy and strong with these natural home remedies.




1. Hairspray


Ingredients:
 Lemon, Lime, Rubbing Alcohol 
Cut one lemon or lime into quarters and boil in 2 cups of water until liquid reduces by half. Remove from heat and allow to cool then add one teaspoon of rubbing alcohol and pour through a strainer to remove pulp. Transfer mixture into a spray bottle at it's ready to use.  





Ingredients:
 Flaxseed, Aloe Gel, Glycerin  
Boil 2 teaspoons of crushed flaxseeds in 2 cups of water until liquid is reduced by half. Allow mixture to cool before pouring through a strainer and into a large spray bottle. Then add two tablespoons of aloe gel and one teaspoon of liquid glycerin into a spray bottle and shake thoroughly to combine all ingredients and it's ready to use.  




Ingredients:
 Grapefruit, Lavender Oil 
Cut a grapefruit into several wedges and boil them in 2 cups of water until liquid is reduced by half. Add a couple of drops of lavender oil or your favorite essential oil then strain and pour into spray bottle once the mixture is cooled. Store in refrigerator up to two weeks.




Ingredients:
 Oranges, Essential Oil 
Cut an orange into quarters and boil in 2 cups of water until liquid is reduced by half. Add a couple of drops of your favorite essential oil then pour through a strainer and into a spray bottle once the mixture is cooled. Use within a couple of weeks for best-holding power and store solution in a refrigerator between uses. 



2. Styling Solution 
Ingredients: Sea Salt
Mix 1/4 cup of sea salt into 4 cups of water then pour into large spray bottle. Shake bottle until salt is completely dissolved then it's ready to use. Apply onto wet hair for a great styling hold. 


                    
3. Herbal Shampoo for Dark Hair
Bring out the natural highlights of your brunette hair color with this natural shampoo remedy that deepens luster and adds shine. 

IngredientsLavender, Rosemary, Cloves, Unscented Natural Shampoo
Pour 1/2 cup of water into a saucepan and add one teaspoon dried lavender, one teaspoon dried rosemary, 1/2 teaspoon whole cloves and bring to a boil. Remove from heat once the mixture comes to a boil and steep for 30 minutes. After strain mixture then add two tablespoons of natural unscented shampoo and shake to combine all ingredients thoroughly then it's ready to use. Refrigerate between uses. 



4. Herbal Shampoo for Blonde Hair
Bring out natural or salon highlights with this natural herbal shampoo. 

Ingredients: Calendula, Chamomile, Lemon Peel, Unscented Natural Shampoo
Pour 1/2 cup of water into a saucepan then add one teaspoon dried calendula, one teaspoon chamomile, one teaspoon chopped lemon peel and bring to boil. Remove from heat once the mixture comes to a boil and steep for 30 minutes. After strain mixture then add two tablespoons of natural unscented shampoo and shake contents to mix thoroughly and it's ready to use. Refrigerate between uses. 
    

                                                     
5. Herbal shampoo for Red Hair
Deepen and brighten red hair color bringing out natural or salon highlights.       
                                  
IngredientsHibiscus, Calendula, Cinnamon, Unscented Natural Shampoo
Pour 1/2 cup of water into a saucepan then add one teaspoon of dried hibiscus, one teaspoon dried calendula, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon and bring to boil. Remove from heat once the mixture comes to a boil and steep for 30 minutes. After strain then add two tablespoons unscented natural shampoo. Shake contents and it's ready to use. Refrigerate between uses.

6. Tame Frizzy Hair

Aloe Vera Gel:
 Squeeze out the gel of one aloe leaf and apply onto wet hair then style. Will leave your hair silky smooth. 
                                             
Ingredients: Honey and Almond Oil
Mix 1/2 cup of hair conditioner with 1/4 cup dark honey and one tablespoon almond oil. Combine ingredients thoroughly then massage into damp hair and leave on for 10-20 minutes then shampoo and condition.  



7. Hair Gel
Gelatin: 
Dissolve one teaspoon of unflavored gelatin in 1 cup of hot water. Allow mixture to cool and it's ready to use. Keep refrigerated in a sealed container. 


Sugar: Mix 2 teaspoons of white sugar into one cup of boiling water. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved then remove from heat and allow mixture to cool. Once cooled add a few drops of lavender, rosemary or your favorite essential oil. Pour into spray bottle and it's ready to use. Apply sparingly to wet hair for a strong holding gel.               



8. Shampoo
Ingredients
Castile Soap, Lemon Juice and Zest, Water       
Mix 1/4 cup of liquid castile soap with two tablespoons lemon juice, 1/4 cup water, and one teaspoon lemon zest. Heat all ingredients in microwave on high for about 1-2 minutes until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from microwave and allow mixture to cool then pour through a strainer and it's ready to use.                                                                                                                
                                                                                                                        


Ingredients
Chamomile Tea, Water, Soap Flakes, Glycerin                                                                                                                       
Steep 6 chamomile tea bags in 1- 1/2 cups of boiling water for about 15-20 minutes. Add four tablespoons of soap flakes and stir until melted then add 1- 1/2 tablespoons glycerin and mix thoroughly. Store in cool dark place in a sealed container.                                                          
     

                                                                                                   

Ingredients
Liquid Castile Soap, Aloe Gel, Glycerin, Avocado Oil                                                                                                     
Mix 1/4 cup liquid castile soap with 1/4 cup aloe gel, one teaspoon glycerin, and 1/4 teaspoon avocado oil. Blend all ingredients thoroughly and it's ready to use.                                
  
                                              
                                                                                                                 

Ingredients:
 Cornstarch                                                                                                                                                                                 
A fantastic oil-absorbing hair treatment! Sprinkle cornstarch onto the roots of your hair and massage into scalp and hair through to ends then allow leave on for about 5-10 minutes then brush out. 



9. Fragrant Hair Conditioner

IngredientsLavender Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Clary Sage Oil
Combine 20-25 drops lavender oil with 25 drops of sandalwood oil and five drops of clary sage oil. Mix oils thoroughly then apply a few drops of oil onto damp hair and scalp leaving on for up to 30 minutes for a deep moisturizing oil treatment.  



10. Herbal Rinse
IngredientsPeppermint, Lavender, Juniper Berries, Apple Cider Vinegar
Combine one tablespoon dried peppermint with one tablespoon dried lavender, one tablespoon crushed juniper berries, and 1 cup apple cider vinegar and allow mixture to steep for about two weeks. After a couple of weeks strain and pour into a storage container. To use mix one tablespoon of the solution with 1 cup of water and pour over hair as a final rinse after shampooing.  Herbal rinse leaves the hair looking silky smooth and smells wonderful!
