The Secret to Beautiful Hair is Hydration!

Home Remedies to Condition and Strengthen your hair. 
Remedies that hydrate and smooth the cuticle of the hair to help prevent breakage and split ends. 
Never use 'hot' water on your hair. It damages the cuticle causing the hair to become brittle and weak.

1. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is a natural conditioner that leaves your hair feeling silky smooth as it seals cuticles and removes product build up that weight the hair down. Vinegar is also helpful for healing dandruff by removing dead skin cells. 
Apple Cider Vinegar, Water
Instructions: Mix 1/4 part vinegar with 3/4 parts water and pour over shampooed hair leaving in for 5-10 minutes then rinsing out with lukewarm water. 

2. Avocado 
A deep conditioning treatment that repairs split ends reduces frizzy hair by naturally hydrating the hair. Avocados are also an excellent moisturizer for the skin and scalp. Honey is a natural moisturizer that helps to remove hairspray build-up. 

Ingredients: Honey, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Avocado
Instructions: Mix together a mashed ripe avocado with 4 teaspoons honey, 5 drops almond oil, 5 drops jojoba oil and blend well. Apply the mixture onto wet hair then cover with plastic cap and leave on for 30 minutes then rinsing off with lukewarm water when complete. Oil treatment recommended doing at night and washing hair in the morning.  

3. Honey 
Honey is a natural humectant that hydrates dry brittle hair leaving it silky smooth and shiny. This remedy recommended on the Dr's television show. 

4. Grapeseed Oil 
Grapeseed oil is a natural conditioner that moisturizes the hair leaving it soft and smooth. 

Ingredients: Warm Grapeseed Oil
Instructions: Warm-up a couple tablespoons of grapeseed oil in the microwave for about a minute then massage warm oil into hair and scalp then cover with a plastic bag leaving on overnight shampooing in the morning. 

5. Champagne 
Detoxify your hair by rinsing some champagne through it! Champagne leaves hair shiny, smooth and full of body. This remedy recommended on the Dr's television show. 

6. Olive Oil 
Olive oil naturally hydrates the hair and coats the cuticle leaving hair shiny and smooth. Olive oil is also a great facial moisturizer.   

Instructions: Oil treatment recommended before bed. Vigorously massage olive oil into scalp and hair then leave on for 30 minutes wrapped in plastic wrap. Rinse with lukewarm water after the time limit and shampoo in the morning. 

7. Vitamin E Oil Treatment 
Vitamin E provides essential nutrients for hair and skin. Both oils deeply moisturize the hair and skin while the baking soda removes product buildup that weighs hair down. 

Ingredients: Vitamin E Oil, Baking Soda, Olive Oil
Instructions: Before going to bed, combine 1/4 teaspoon of vitamin E oil with 1/4 cup baking soda and 1/4 teaspoon olive oil. Massage mixture into hair and scalp for a few minutes then leave on for 10-15 minutes then rinsing with lukewarm water and shampooing in the morning. 

8. Beer 
Beer is filled with protein and B vitamins that conditions and provide nutrients to the hair leaving your hair shiny and full-bodied. This remedy was recommended on the Dr's television show. 

9. Red Palm Oil 
Red palm oil is rich in vitamin E, antioxidants, and nutrients that restore the hair and nourishes the scalp for stronger healthier looking hair. Oil treatment recommended weekly for extremely dry or damaged hair. 

Ingredients: Red Palm Oil, Olive Oil, Lavender Oil
Instructions: Mix equal parts of red palm oil, olive oil, and lavender oil then massage mixture into hair and scalp leaving on for 1 hour then shampooing with lukewarm water.  

 Promote Healthy Hair Growth

1. Nettle Leaf 
Simmer 2 tablespoons of nettle leaf herb in 3 cups of water for several minutes then remove from heat and pour through a strainer. Massage cooled mixture into hair and scalp then rinse with cool water. Use nettle for thinning hair to help to promote hair growth. 

2. Horsetail 
Steep 3 teaspoons of dried horsetail in 3 cups of boiling water for 15-20 minutes. Rinse mixture through shampooed hair and leave on for 10-15 minutes then rinse out with lukewarm water. Horsetail helps to nourish the hair making it stronger. 

3. Essential Oils 
These natural oils deeply hydrate the hair leaving it silky smooth and strong by sealing the cuticles and locking in moisture.  All oils are common ingredients in most conventional shampoos and conditioners. 

Ingredients: Vitamin E Oil, Jojoba Oil, Peppermint Oil, Rosemary Oil (optional)
Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a large spray bottle. Mix 1/4 cup vitamin E oil and 1/4 cup jojoba oil, 15 drops of peppermint oil and 15 drops rosemary oil. Shake bottle well to combine all ingredients thoroughly then spray the mixture onto hair and massage into scalp. Leave on overnight shampooing in the morning. 

Remedies to Strengthen and Moisturize your Hair 
 Limit the amount of heat you apply onto your hair. 
Blow drying and curling ironing can weaken the hair and damaged cuticles. 
If you must blow dry towel dry hair until it's almost completely dry before finishing styling with a dryer. 

1. Aloe Vera Gel 
Treatment best done at night. Massage Aloe Vera gel into hair and scalp then cover with plastic bag or wrap and leave on for 1-2 hours. Rinse with lukewarm water before going to sleep and shampoo in the morning. 2. Avocado, Yogurt, Egg Yolk, Mayonnaise 

Avocados, yogurt, and mayonnaise all have natural oils that hydrate the hair strengthening its integrity and sealing cuticles. Egg yolks provide nutrients and hair building protein. 

Instructions: Mash 1/2 over-ripe avocado and mix in 1-2 teaspoons of all ingredients outlined above combining thoroughly. Apply the mixture onto damp hair and leave on for 15-20 minutes rinsing with lukewarm water when complete. Repeat treatment weekly to strengthen damaged or weakened hair for chemical processing. 

3. Flat Beer, Olive Oil, Egg 
Beer and eggs are filled with protein and vitamins that strengthen and add volume to the hair while olive oil deeply hydrates adding shine and fullness.  
Instructions: Mix 1/2 cup of flat beer with 1 teaspoon of olive oil and one egg. Apply the mixture onto wet hair massaging for a few minutes then covering with a plastic bag or wrap leaving on for 15 minutes then rinsing with lukewarm water shampooing in the morning.
