Home Remedies to Relieve and Moisturize Dry Skin
Dry skin can be the cause of over washing with harsh soaps, excessive use of hand sanitizer, frigid cold temperatures, and low humidity.  
Itchy skin is a sign it lacks moisture. In addition to topically moisturizing the skin drinking eight glasses of water a day helps to hydrate the skin.

1. Olive Oil 
IngredientsWarm Olive Oil

Instructions: Warm some olive oil and massage onto dry skin and leaving on overnight washing in the morning with lukewarm water. Olive oil moisturizing treatment was recommended on the Doctors television show and the Dr. Oz show.                                                                  

2. Papaya
Removes flaky dead skin cells, nourishes and deeply moisturizes. Incorporate papaya into your diet to receive heal benefits for the skin, hair, and body. Recommended on the Dr. Oz television show. 

Instructions: Mash a ripened papaya to use as a facial mask. Gently massage onto dry skin then leave on for 10-20 minutes rinsing off with lukewarm water.

3. Peanut Butter 
The oils and nutrients contained in all ingredients help heal and moisturize excessively dry skin.

Instructions: Combine equal parts of peanut butter, milk and honey blending all ingredients thoroughly. Apply onto dry skin leaving on for 15-20 minutes then rinsing off with a washcloth and cool water. 

4. Avocado 
Mix a ripe avocado and apply onto dry skin. Oils of this fruit are an excellent moisturizer. Repeat several times a week once healed. 

5. Banana Peel 
Rub the peel of a banana on dry, cracked 
heels of feet to 
heal and moisturize. 
 Repeat treatment daily until healed. Also, use the banana peel to 
Lighten Sun and Age-Spots by placing the inside of the peel over darkened skin 
patch and leave on for 
10-20 minutes
daily until the desired skin tone is achieved!

6. Khus  (POPPY SEEDS)
There are healing properties in poppy seeds that help to heal and moisturize excessively dry skin. Mixed with the fat in whole milk makes this a deeply moisturizing treatment. 

Ingredients: Khus, Milk
Instructions: Soak one tablespoon of khus seeds in water overnight. In the morning grind up thoroughly then add enough milk to create a spreadable paste. Apply onto dry skin leaving on for 10-20 minutes then rinse off with cool water. 

7. Cantaloupe 
Eating one serving 1/2 cup of cantaloupe a day helps to moisturize the skin from the inside out. There are very beneficial vitamins within cantaloupe that moisturize the skin reducing and preventing the formation of wrinkles. 

Dry Skin Quick Tips
Drink lots of water!
Consume dried fruits regularly to help extremely dry skin. 
Eat a diet rich in Vitamin A, B, and E.
Rub sesame oil on dry skin after showering. 
Apply avocado oil to dry skin.
Take milk baths once a month.
Treat dry patches with peanut butter.
Rub on apple cider vinegar to cure dry, itchy skin.
Run banana peel on dry, cracked heels. 
Add lemon juice to bath water to loosen and remove dry skin flakes. 
Rub Aloe Vera on dry skin to moisturize.
