1. Aching Muscles

Vinegar
Add 2 cups of apple cider vinegar to bath water and soak to soothe aching muscles and pain. Add a few drops of essential oils such as peppermint oil to help relieve stress.

Turmeric
Research suggests that turmeric contains anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties. It helps to improve circulation and prevent blood clotting. Healing powers of turmeric come from the active ingredient curcumin, which lowers enzyme levels in the body that cause inflammation.  

Valerian Root
Called nature's tranquilizer which has been used for centuries to regulate the nervous system, insomnia, stress, anxiety and to reduce pain. Drink some Valerian tea to reduce the sensitivity of nerves and pain. 



2. Arthritis Pain Relief 

Cabbage
Boil a few cabbage leaves then allow them to cool slightly before laying warm leaves over hands and joints and wrapping with a towel. Leave on for 15-30 minutes or until leaves become cool. 

Encomia
Used in Chinese medicine for back and joint pain. Encomia bark helps to strengthen bones, tendons, and ligaments. Studies show compounds in encomia encourages the development of collagen and heal tissue. Ask your doctor if encomia supplement is right for you. 

Fish Oil 
The essential ingredient in fish oil is omega three fatty acids a potent anti-inflammatory that targets inflamed joints and muscles. 

Cherries
This fruit is packed with magnesium which triggers a chemical process in the boy to strengthen muscles and bones. It distributes calcium where it is needed in the body. If calcium is not drawn into bones, it will gather in tissues which make arthritis worse. 

Apple Cider Vinegar 
Filled with calcium, potassium and phosphorous which aid in pain relief and inflammation. The phosphorous also helps to remove toxins that cause inflammation. 

Mustard Oil
Oil helps to improve blood flow and circulation when massaged into joints. Warm oil before massaging into joints for deeper penetration. 

Borage Oil
Also known as Starflower. The omega six fatty acids in this oil help to generate cell growth, which can replace inflamed cells with healthy new cells. Simply massage Borage oil into painful joints. 

Epsom Salt
Filled with magnesium which helps to balance pH levels. When the body's acidity levels are high, it can flare-up arthritis. 



3. Blood Pressure 

Cucumbers
Research suggests that adding cucumbers into your daily diet helps lower high blood pressure. 

Garlic 
Studies reveal that garlic contains allicin, which is a substance that helps to reduce hypertension. Both fresh and powdered garlic help to lower blood pressure. 

Onions
Rich in antioxidants and quercetin which reduces diastolic and systolic pressure. As a result, the heart works less reducing stress on the heart. 

Cinnamon
Studies show people who drink water with cinnamon added helps to lower blood pressure and the onset of diabetes by lowering blood sugar levels. 

Olive Oil
Reports show that Mediterranean diets regularly containing olive oil have healthier blood pressure. Olive oil is a fast acting herb that can frequently be taken to improve health.   

Oregano
This herb contains carvacrol which can significantly reduce arterial pressure, diastolic and systolic pressure and heart rate lowering stress and blood pressure.   



4. Blisters 

Listerine
Moisten a cotton ball with Listerine apply onto blister three times a day until it dries out and no longer hurts. Listerine will help to speed up healing.  



5. Chickenpox, Poison Ivy, and Sunburns 

Cheerios Cereal
Mash 1-4 cups of crushed powdered Cheerios into bath water and soak for 10-20 minutes to ease discomfort. 



6. Constipation 

Cucumbers
If constipated try eating a cucumber. Cucumber seeds are a diuretic. For chronic problems add cucumber to your daily diet. 

Apple Cider Vinegar
Mix 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar into 8 ounces of water to soothe the stomach. Vinegar has antibacterial properties that help constipation. 




Caffeinated Coffee
Hazard research now stands behind the claim that two cups of caffeinated coffee daily helps to reduce the risk of blue moods by 34 percent. Three or more cups of caffeinated coffee daily reduce the risk of depression by 42 percent or more. According to studies, the caffeine and antioxidants in coffee help to stimulate the brain producing more powerful natural antidepressant hormones such as serotonin and dopamine. 



8. Energy Booster

Cucumbers
Eat a cucumber if you're feeling tired it will help to boost your energy. Cucumbers are an excellent source of carbohydrates and vitamin B to give you a longer-lasting and healthier energy boost than coffee or soda. 



9. Fibromyalgia  

Herbs
To lessen symptoms with herbal remedies that warm the body and improve circulation, reduce inflammation and relieve pain such as cayenne, white willow, lavender, rosemary, and ginger. 



10. Gas and Bloating 

Baking Soda
Mix 1 or 2 heaping teaspoons of baking soda with 3 ounces of warm water and drink down quickly for instant relief.  



11. Gout or Sore Feet

Mint Leaves
Soak feet in hot water with mint leaves. 



12. Healing Skin 

Banana
Rub the inside of a banana peel on the skin to heal bruises, cuts, rashes, and warts. Banana is believed to improve many skin problems. 

Onion
The thin translucent layer found in onion can be used as an antiseptic for light burns or scrapes to reduce scarring. Place a thin layer of onion over the affected area and cover with band-aid or gauze.  



13. Healing Salve 

IngredientsComfrey Root Oil, Calendula Oil, Beeswax, Vitamin E, Vitamin A

Instructions: Combine 1 cup comfrey root oil with 1 cup calendula oil, 2 oz grated beeswax, two tablespoons vitamin E oil and 20 drops Vitamin A emulsion. Heat oils together and add grated beeswax and cook until wax is melted. Once the wax is melted add vitamin oils into the mixture, then remove from heat. Pour mixture into a container and allow to sit until hardened. 



14. Hiccups 

Green Olives
Eat a few green olives to get rid of hiccups.

Sugar
Eat a teaspoon of sugar to get rid of hiccups. 



15. Intestinal Infections 

Coriander
Research published suggests that coriander seeds can speed recovery from full-blown intestinal infections. Coriander destroys bacteria including E.coil and salmonella by punching holes in their protective outer membranes. Next time you have a stomach problem mix one teaspoon ground coriander into 1 cup boiling water and steep for 5 minutes. Sweeten to taste then drink three cups daily until the bug is gone. 



16. Joint Pain 

Cherry Juice
Drink tart cherry juice to help prevent and relieve joint pain. Recommended by Dr. Oz. 



17. Menopause Symptom Relief 

Herbs
No herb or supplement contains estrogen, but compounds in some plants act like weak estrogen. To reduce symptoms try herbs such as alfalfa, black cohosh, and Dong Quai. They have a long history of helping to support female reproductive system. 



18. Poison Ivy 

Salt

Unpasteurized Honey
Research has found that the natural antibiotics and enzymes in unpasteurized honey destroy almost 100 percent of bacteria and viruses on contact including bugs that cause painful sinus and throat infections. Mix 2 tablespoons of unpasteurized honey in coffee or tea to prevent and help fight painful infections. For best results, choose dark-colored honey such as buckwheat and wildflower which contain up to 20 times more antioxidants than light-colored clover honey. (Never give children under one honey)
   


20. Splinters 

Salt
Soak in warm water and salt to draw out splinters. 

Duct Tape
Use a piece of duct tape to remove a splinter if you don't have tweezers. 




Vinegar
Dab solution of 1 part vinegar to 5 parts warm water into each ear three times a day. 



22. Soothe an Upset Stomach (Indigestion and Spastic colon)

Fennel Seeds, Mint, and Chamomile
Mix 1 tablespoon chamomile flowers with one teaspoon fennel seeds, two tablespoons mint leaves and steep one tablespoon of mixture in 1 cup hot water for 15 minutes then strain and drink. 



23. Thrombosis 

Lemon and Vinegar
Drink a mixture of baking soda with lemon juice or apple cider vinegar.


24. Wasp or Bee Stings 

Vinegar
Apply apple cider vinegar to the affected area with a cotton ball to relieve discomfort. You can also apply lemon juice which neutralizes the venom. 



25. Rheumatism Arthritis 

Thyme Leaves
Chop thyme leaves and steam. Apply the paste directly to the painful area for relief. 

Creams, gels, and lotions
Rubbing creams onto skin near painful joints can help to relieve pain. Choose products that contain capsaicin, salicylates, camphor, menthol, or turpentine oil. 

Fish Oil
Studies show that fish oil supplements help to reduce pain and stiffness due to RA. It's suggested to check with your doctor before adding fish oil to your routine. 

Ice Pack
Apply an ice pack to inflamed joints to ease swelling. The cold helps to numb the pain and relax muscle spasms. 

Warm Bath
If your muscles are aching and tight relax in a warm bath. Or apply a hot towel or heating pad to help relieve tense muscles. 



26. Urinary Tract Infection 

Baking Soda
Drink an 8-ounce glass of water mixed with 1/2 tsp. of baking soda 1-2 times a day.

Cranberry Juice
Drink 2-3 eight-ounce glasses of unsweetened cranberry juice a day or take a cranberry extract supplement. 

Vitamin C
Load up on vitamin c it makes urine more acidic which fights bacteria in the urinary tract. 

Yogurt
Yogurt contains probiotics which are good bacteria that help keep harmful bacteria at bay. Eat plain yogurt regularly. 

Baking Soda
To help burning sensation during urination drink a glass of water mixed with 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 

Avoid
Cut out irritants such as caffeine, alcohol, spicy foods, nicotine, carbonated drinks and artificial sweeteners. 

Beneficial Foods
Eat foods such as high-fiber carbohydrates and healthy fats like olive oil which are beneficial for digestive health. 

Goldenseal and Oregon Grape Root
These herbs can help the body fight E coil which is a common bacteria that causes UTIs. 


27. Varicose Veins 

Horse Chestnut or Broom
Varicose veins are when blood leaks back into the vein and collects there causing the vein to become congested or clogged which will cause the vein to enlarge. Apply horse chestnut or broom to strengthen and tone veins. Use Witch hazel, vinegar, and lemon oil to reduce swelling and pain. 

Recommended practices for varicose veins
Exercise to encourage blood circulation, follow a low-salt diet to prevent swelling and water retention, avoid high heel shoes, elevate legs to improve circulation, avoid long periods of sitting or standing, don't sit with legs crossed. 

Castor Oil
Massage some castor oil over varicose veins after bathing to help improve circulation.
