Use BAKING SODA  or SALT on Kitchen Fires

1. Buttermilk Substitute 
Add 1 tablespoon of vinegar into 1 cup of milk then allowing mixture to sit for 5 minutes at room temperature or until thickened.   

2. Chill Drinks Faster
Apply a layer of ice with salt then add bottles and cans repeating layering of ice and salt then drinks.  

3. Cleaning Fruit & Vegetables 
Mix into a spray bottle 2 cups of cold water, 4 tablespoons white vinegar and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and spray all fruits and vegetables to eliminate any bacteria then rinse with cold water.    

4. Stop Boiled Corn Beef Shrinking 
Add a couple tablespoon of apple cider vinegar into the boiling water to prevent meat from shrinking.           

5. Fluffier Breads 
Substitute the water in recipes with club soda for fluffier bread.


6. Fluffier Meringue 
Add 1/4 tsp. of white vinegar to every 3 egg whites.      

7. Fluffier Rice 
When cooking rice add a bit of lemon juice to water.         

8. Steele Wool Substitute 
Use a rolled up ball of aluminum foil as a substitute for steel wool to clean pots and pans.        
9. Frying Splatters 
Add salt to the pan when cooking to lessen grease splattering.  

10. Funnel Makeshift 
If you don't have a funnel craft one with aluminum foil to easily fit any size opening you need.         

11. Reheating Coffee 
Add a pinch of salt into cold coffee and reheat in the microwave. It'll taste like it was just brewed!   

12. Hard Boiled Eggs 
Add a teaspoon of vinegar and tablespoon of salt into the water while eggs cook and they won't crack. They'll also be easier to peel.                                                 

13. Leafy Greens 
Remove trapped dirt from leafy green vegetables by soaking them in cold water with 1 teaspoon of baking soda.      
14. Meat & Seafood Tenderizer 
Soak a piece of lean meat or inexpensive cuts of red meat in a couple of cups of vinegar to break down tough fibers and kill harmful bacteria.     

15. Milk Freshener 
Keep milk fresher longer by adding a pinch of salt.        

16. Pancakes and Waffles 
Substitute the water in a recipe with club soda for fluffier results.  

17. Refresh Lettuce 
Submerge wilted lettuce into a bowl of cold water with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Let sit for 5-10 then rinse.                                                                  

18. Warm Milk Curdling Prevention
Add a pinch of baking soda before heating up milk to prevent curdling.
