Home remedies to reduce the appearance of Cellulite

Cellulite is the appearance of fat deposits most often found on the buttocks and thighs.

1. Apple Cider Vinegar 
Vinegar is believed to breakdown fat deposits from the inside out and also prevent further fat deposits that contribute to the appearance of cellulite dimples. Drink a mixture of 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar with 8 ounces of water adding honey if desired each morning. 

2. Apple Cider Vinegar, Essential Oil
For a topical cellulite treatment mix three parts apple cider vinegar with 1 part of your favorite essential oil and massage onto affected areas of body twice a day to breakdown fat deposits. 

3. Brown Algae Cataplasm (Seaweed)
Seaweed is a popular spa treatment for reducing the appearance of cellulite. It helps to exfoliate dead skin cells, breakdown fat deposits and provides beneficial nutrients to the skin. Seaweed can be found at most organic food stores. 

Ingredients:  Brown algae, Bran, Sea Salt, Water
Instructions:  Mix 2 1/2 tablespoons of brown algae with five tablespoon bran, five tablespoons sea salt and just enough hot water to make a spreadable paste. Allow mixture to cool before massaging onto affected areas then cover with plastic wrap. Leave on for 30 minutes then rinse off with lukewarm water. Repeat treatment weekly until desired results are achieved. 

Dry brushing with coconut oil helps to tighten the skin, breakdown accumulated fat deposits and remove harmful collagen toxins while it moisturizes the skin. Repeat treatment daily. 

5. Cucumber
The juice of cucumbers reduces the appearance of cellulite due to its photochemical properties which strengthen collagen resulting in tightening of the skin and diminishing the appearance of cellulite dimples. Combine this treatment with one that breaks down fat deposits for amazing results! 

Instructions:  After treated affected areas with a remedy that breaks down fat deposits slice a cucumber and slide over cellulite until juices are depleted. For puffy eyes or dark circles lay a slice of cucumber over eyelids for 30 minutes to lighten dark circles and reduce swelling. Repeat treatment daily for best results. 

6. Coffee Grounds
The caffeine in coffee helps to break down fat deposits while the grainy texture erases cellulite dimples for a smoother appearance. 

Ingredients:  Unused Coffee Grounds, Brown Sugar, Sea Salt, Almond Oil
Instructions:  Mix 1 cup of coffee grounds with 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup sea salt, and 1/2 cup almond oil. Massage mixture onto skin in a circular motion for 5 to 10 minutes each day for a fast reduction of cellulite. 

7. Dandelion Tea 
The detox properties within dandelions help to reduce fat deposits and combat further build up of cellulite dimples working from the inside out. 

Ingredients:  Dried Dandelion, Water, Lemon
Instructions:  Steep 1-2 teaspoons of dried dandelion in a 1 cup of hot water for 10 minutes then add lemon if desired. Drink tea once a day or more. You can also purchase ready-made dandelion herb blends.

8. Ginkgo Biloba
Drink ginkgo tea daily to improve circulation which will help to utilize the stored fat in muscle tissue and reduce cellulite fat deposits. There are also supplements that you can take which are found at most discount department stores or health food stores. 

9. Green Tea 
Speed up your metabolism and burn fat by stopping the production of fat-absorbing enzymes contributing to cellulite. Drink 3 cups a day to increase energy, burn calories and fat.

10. Pastry Roller 
Roll a pastry roller over the back of legs for 1-5 minutes to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Doing this helps to break up fat deposits, milk fluid from cells and, as a result, lessen the appearance of dimples or cellulite. 

11. Sugar 
The grainy texture of sugar helps to break down fat deposits reducing the appearance of cellulite dimples leaving skin smooth. 

Ingredients:  Sugar, Baby Oil
Instructions:  Mix 3 parts baby oil with 1 part white or brown sugar and vigorously massage affected areas for 5 to 10 minutes before showering. Repeat daily for preventative measures.

Apply tomato paste to affected areas and massage skin for 5-10 minutes then rinse.
