Old Time Weekend

The 2nd Old Time Weekend will be last weekend of September 2018.
Thur Sep 27 5pm + Fri Sep 28 + Sat Sep 29 + Sun Sep 30 noon.

The Brunswick Family Campground is a city park managed by River & Trail Outfitters.
The campground is along the Potomac River, the C & O Canal, and a CSX train yard. You can ride bikes, paddle kayaks, hike the canal towpath, or watch the trains.
The campground has
a bath house with showers and a store that rents bikes and kayaks and sells firewood and ice. There are picnic tables and campfire rings. There are RV sites with hookups and parking. There are five heated cabins which are reserved for festival use including indoor jams (contact us about sleeping arrangements). There are hundreds of tent sites. There are parking lots near the tent areas but cars should not park on the grass.  The campground has Quiet Time 11pm to 7am. Alcohol is not permitted outside of one's tent or RV.
campground manager and security guard are on site overnight.
Dogs with leashes and fishing with a license are allowed.

Registration. You must email us in advance at FrederickOldTime@gmail.com to let us know your plans. Tell us the number of adults and kids, which days, which nights, and whether you plan to sleep in your tent, vehicle, RV or a cabin. This will help us reserve enough space for everyone. If you make your own reservation through the
Brunswick Family Campground, tell them you are with the Acoustic Pickers, request a location near the south end, and inform us of your reservation.

Donation. We will gladly accept donations to cover festival expenses. We suggest $20 per adult for the entire festival, or $10 per adult for a single day, for those not renting sites from the campground. You do not need to pay a campground entrance fee as long as you register with the festival.

Camping. It is ok to attend for the day or stay overnight. We have reserved an area for tent camping. The RV pads hold an RV plus vehicle. RV pads cost about $55 per night. RV sites offer water, electricity, adjacent parking, fire pits, picnic tables, and a nearby dumping station.
The festival organizers reserved RV pads A19, A20, D11, D12. We also reserved all five heated cabins for jams (contact us about sleeping arrangements).

Hotels, rooms, and RV renting.
Brunswick does not have any large hotels. We know of Oak Tree Inn and Lockkeeper's Inn in Brunswick. Across the bridge in Lovettsville VA there is the fancy Stone Manor Country Club. Further afield, there are many choices in Harper's Ferry WV, Frederick MD, and Leesburg VA. There are basement rooms nearby, and trailers to rent, on AirBnB. There are RVs to rent on RVshare.

Stores. The Beans in the Belfry cafe is home to our Old Time Jam every 1st and 3rd Sunday. The cafe is in a beautiful old church building. Beans serves coffee, ice cream, beer, and local food. The Smoketown Brewing Station is in a converted old firehouse. Smoketown serves local brews and encourages ordering from King's Pizza next door. The Potomac Street Grill can handle meat lovers and vegetarians. The Weiss supermarket is on 17 near the Brunswick exit from highway 340. The Moose Lodge serves weekend pancakes breakfast at 4th & Potomac. The American Legion post 96 at the Maple Street railroad crossing hosts country music on Fridays.
