He is in charge of picking out his attire, and his groomsman as well. As frightening as it sounds, he decided that he wanted to go with a 30s feel when choosing his clothing. He says that he looks like a gangster whenever he puts on a suit, so he might as well run with it.
This is Al Capone. I have decided that he bears a remarkable resemblance to my FI.
Tim decided on black suit with blue striped ties for himself and his groomsmen.
He's going to look HAWT!
And who could forget...ME!
After much indecision and carrot chasing, I finally decided on Pronovias' Olga dress as my wedding gown. I just love it! Its whimsical yet sufficiently bridal. I love the fabric too! Its got a slight iridesence and its so light. I ordered it from RSVP Bridal out of San Diego and it came a whole month before it was expected!
I purchased a bird cage veil to wear for the reception. I bought it from a private owner on eBay, but I believe it came from Artikal NYC originally. The picture to the right is Mrs.Nash and her drop veil. I purchased the veil from another knottie who had purchased it from her. Its diamond white and cathedral length, and I believe it cam from Saks originally.
I love birdcage veils...they are so awesomely vintage. I plan on wearing mine for the reception so that I'm not trailing a cathedral length veil all night long. I'm still up in the air about how to wear it, so here are a few examples from websites such as somethingbold.com, birdcageveils.com, and unbridaledveils.com
This is a fascinator that I purchased from Twigs & Honey (MyraKim) on Etsy.com. Its so gorgeous...I can't wait to wear it!
I will ordering a garter similar to the 0ne below, except mine is coming from the GarterMaker, and will be black with royal blue ribbon. I plan purchasing the police charm separately and will sew it on myself. He says that one of his buddies from work will have to catch it, and there is a pretty good chance of that since he has a lot of single co-workers.
My lovely purple velvet shoes are from Kohl's Simply Vera Collection. I got them on sale for $12.00!!!
I think of dragonflies as my patron "saint", so I chose this broach from White Aisle to go into my bouquet. The earrings are from White Aisle as well, however I picked up a knock-off pair at Steve & Barry's for a quarter of the price thanks to Sarah Jessica Parker's Bitten Collection.
My vintage bracelet that I won off of eBay. It sort of goes along with the earrings...
Tim picked this ring from Debebians. He wanted something thick that would leave a mark for when he gets into fights at work. :)
This is my rehearsal dinner dress by BCBG Max Azaria that I got at a local outlet mall. Hoorah for great deals!
