" An Evening with General U.S. Grant"

The Olde Colony Civil War Round Table of Dedham MA will have their annual Jubilee Dinner on Thursday October 21, 2010 at Lombardo’s in Randolph, MA.  (Direction: Route 128, merged with Interstate 93, exit 5 south, or route 28 south, turn right on the first light, Lombardo restaurant.)
Local re-enactors and students of the life and times of U.S. Grant, Sam and Julie Grant of Townsend, MA, will entertain the Olde Colony Civil War Round Table at the Dinner. Sam's living history presentation is entitled, "Letters, Cigars and Horses ------- A Living History Presentation of General U.S. Grant." After a brief introduction and survey of the General's life before the Civil War, the engagements, habits, and contributions of the General are explored through the use of lively and often humorous anecdotes, letters and impressions of the times.
The Jubilee Dinner is the main preservation fundraising event for the Olde Colony Civil War Round Table. The cost of a ticket is $35. For tickets, contact Ticketmaster, Rich Campagna, 102 Pratt Ave., Dedham, MA 02026.
