Monday March 2, 2015 – Monthly Meeting Report

President Mike welcomed everyone after the long snowy February. The meeting opened at 7:00 with The Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence was held for our troops and servicemen. Mike introduced Dan from Veridion as The BoD has decided to sign with Veridion as a power distribution company and fundraiser for the club. A website will be setup through the club site for members to sign –up should they choose, the club gets $2.00 per new client. Dan answered questions from the members.

SECRETARY REPORT:  the secretary’s report from the January meeting was read and accepted by the members.

TREASURER’S REPORT: The treasurer’s report for January and February was accepted and report was posted.  Chuck noted that it cost approx. 6K to run the club in February due to plowing and heat.

MEMBERSHIP: We had 5 new members in Feb and 7 in March, All were accepted and welcomed.

HOUSE COMMITTEE:  Gary thanked everyone that helped out with snow removal. If you have any concerns or improvement needs please contact him.

NSSF and GOAL: Dale presented a report from GOAL News and NSSF, Newsletters are posted for Feb and March on the board.  Please follow Old Colony on facebook, and sign up for emails,


PISTOL: Dale reporting Gallery Pistol winter league has had the last 3 weeks cancelled. They meet every Thursday 7:00-9:00pm and move around to different clubs so check the schedule. Once season ends they meet weekly here. Club guns and ammo are available.  IDPA was cancelled til further notice or snow melt. Intro to IDPA being held March 18, weds at 7:00pm.

RIFLE: George reporting for the various rifle programs

MILITARY RIFLE MATCH; Sunday April 12, see Franco if interested.

JR. RIFLE; Runs Saturday mornings 9:00 am to noon. Nice to see Nikki and good luck Brainna

GALLERY; Indoor Gallery rifle looking for new blood! .22 @ 50 feet 3 position and a light rifle category. 7:30pm.

WINTER LEAGUE; 200 yard offhand rifle shoots every Sunday in the rifle house. Shutzenfest is

April 18-19.

BLACK POWDER:  Paul B. reporting, BP is open if you snowshoe! March 29 shoot at OCSA. Looking forward to upcoming events and a New England rendezvous in May.

ARCHERY: See Paul if you are interested in 3-D targets.

SHOTGUN:  New members welcome, Shotgun, Skeet, Trap and 5-Stand is open on Wednesday’s 10:00–12:00, Thursdays 2:00-4:00, Saturday and Sunday 10:00-1:00.

50/50:  50/50 raffle was won by Bill Earl

NEW BUSINESS: OCSA will be hosting a NRA Legislators shoot on Friday June 5th. We will need volunteers, n more info to follow.
