You have reached the homepage of Oksana V. Manyuhina (ukr: Оксана Манюгіна). I was a distinguished postdoctoral fellow of Soft Matter@Syracuse University (NY). Before I was a fellow of the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics (NORDITA) in Stockholm and a postdoc in the Laboratoire de Physique Statistique de l'Ecole Normale Supérieure (LPS-ENS) in Paris. I completed my Phd in the Theory of Condensed Matter group at Radboud University Nijmegen (TCM-RU).

Research interests:

I am a theoretical physicist working in fascinating area where objects are warm (room temperature), relatively large (seen under a simple microscope) and soft. For physicists: the area where "h bar" is zero, also known as soft condensed matter. In my work I try to understand current experimental observations with simple mathematical tools as well as to predict new phenomena, related but not limited to shape bifurcation of self-assembled structures, pattern formation in liquid crystals, free interfaces of biological systems, and study `defects' - a fingerprint for any system with long-range order.
