What to Do When Google Assistant Voice Won't Work
If the "Ok Google" commands have stopped working on your Android phone. There can be only two reasons why calling it "Ok Google" does not work. Either the Google Utility does not work or Google is unable to recognize your voice. Here are the steps to take if your Google Assistant not working.
What caused the Google Assistant to crash?
When Google Assistant voice commands do not work, this is usually due to a problem with the Google Apps. Some of the most common problems include incorrect permissions that prevent the Google App from accessing your microphone, accidentally turning off voice commands and corrupt data in the app.
If your Google Assistant does not accept voice commands, you should try each of the following solutions in order before it starts working again. If all of these solutions still do not work after you run out, you may have to wait for Google to fix your specific problem.

1. Restart your phone
Let's start with a simple one. Restart your phone. It's quick and easy to do and definitely worth a try as it is known for getting rid of a lot of technical issues.
I'm sure you all know how to reboot your Android device, but I will go through the process anyway. All you have to do is press and hold the power button on your device for a second or two, after which a few options will appear on your screen. Select the Restart / reboot option and the phone will do the rest.
After turning on the headset, try running Google Assistant to see if the problem persists. If so, move on to the second step.
2. Clear the basics
First of all, we need to check whether the basic functions of the mobile phone do not interfere here.
Another simple technique that can solve the OK Google Not Working problem is to clear the amplifier gap. Occasionally, dirt or various flotation and jetsam may enter the amplifier gap, further obstructing the path.

6. Make sure Assistant has turned on that your device supports it
Get started by checking if your phone supports Google Assistant. Not all models do this. Support devices are needed:

Android 6.0+ with at least 1.5 GB of memory
Google Apps 6.13 or higher
Google Play Services:
At least 720p screen resolution
Additionally, the language of the device must be set to one of the following: Chinese (Traditional), Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, or Vietnamese.
7. Train your voice model
Google Assistant might not be working because it does not recognize your voice. This is easy to fix, as all you have to do is train the audio model. Here is how to do it. Open Google Apps on your phone, select "More" at the bottom of the screen, then click "Settings". The next step is to click on the "Voice" option, select "Voice Match" followed by "Train the voice model".
Then just click "Agree" and Follow the on-screen instructions to train the audio model. It is very easy. You just have to say "OK Google": "Hey Google" a few times.
When you're done, say the hot word again to see if the problem is resolved. Google Voice Search Not Working now. If not, there are a few other things you can try that we will look at later.
8. Other possible solutions
If so far no fix has been fixed for Google Assistant, here is what you should try.
Check the microphone. Make sure your microphone is working. Do not cover it with your hand when trying to call an assistant. If the Assistant cannot hear you, it will not respond.
Check your internet connection. You need to be online to be able to use the helper. Make sure you are connected to either Wi-Fi or cellular network and that the connection is secure.
Turn off, other voice assistants. If you have a Samsung device, try turning off Bixby to see if that solves the problem. And if you have Alexa, Cortana, or some other voice assistant on your phone, turn it off or on.
Update the program. Make sure the Google App is updated to the latest version. Also, be sure to provide all permissions for the Google App by going to Settings> Settings> Google Apps> Permissions (path may vary from model to model).
