About me

Since May 2024 I am an associate professor ("profesora agregada")  at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and I am a member of Groups, Topology and Applications (GTA) research group.

After being awarded a fellowship by the Basque Government, I did my Ph.D. at the University of the Basque Country under the supervision of Jon González-Sánchez and Antonio Díaz Ramos. I finished my Ph.D. studies in October, 2016.

In January 2017, I obtained a postdoctoral research fellow from the Basque Government and until December 2018 I was a member of the Algebra and Number Theory research group, where I collaborated with Benjamin Klopsch at the University of Düsseldorf.

Starting in February 2019 and until April 2024, I worked at UPV/EHU as an assistant professor.

I consider myself an algebraic topologist and group theorist. My current research interests lie in the interplay between group theory and homological algebra. More precisely, I am interested in using cohomological methods and spectral sequences to study algebraic properties of (pro)finite groups. I am also involved with profinite groups.

Activities

Since 2019 I am a co-organizer of the Algebra Seminar. Join us!
Come to  Groups, Topology and Applications: Gran Bilbao V conference, 15-19 April, 2024.
