An association of Clinical Audit lead clinicians, facilitators and other Improvement facilitators from the Specialist Orthopaedic Alliance surgery hospitals.
Mission statement
 
Good clinical audit in Orthopaedic surgery is the vehicle by which Hospitals,Trusts and individuals can demonstrate quality care, improve patient services and monitor innovations and change of practice.

The function of OICAN is to bring together those professionals from the specialist orthopaedics hospitals in England, Wales, Scotland , Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to share good practice and experience and to discuss ways of facilitating joint audit across the group.
