What is a Math Teachers' Circle (MTC)?

Math Teachers’ Circles (MTCs) are content-based professional development for K-12 teachers of mathematics. The purpose is to build a community of K-12 math teachers and mathematicians by engaging in collaborative problem solving while working on rich mathematical tasks.  Ohio Circles usually have monthly meetings either in the evening or weekends and many plan to have summer immersion workshops this coming summer. And the best part - they’re completely FREE!

To find out more about MTCs across the nation, check out the Math Teachers' Circle Network page run by the American Institute of Mathematics.
