Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Soak the raisins in 1/2 cup hot water for 10 minutes, then drain. Cream together the butter, peanut butter, and sugars. Mash the bananas and beat the egg, then gradually add to the butter sugar mixture. Beat in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Beat in 1/2 cup installments to the wet mixture. Pour into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake for 55 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean.
