Plywood CW key
This funny looking key is nostalgic for me. I built it with my father when I was 12 years old and started learning morse code. (The idea was mine but he did most of the woodworking.) Soon I bought a "real" hand key too, but I felt it was clumsier and not so comfortable in my hand. So I definitely preferred this plywood key and used it in my novice class QSOs - until I wanted more speed and an built an electronic keyer.
The key still works fine and has a nice touch. In summer 2006 I used it with good success in the SCAG Straight Key Day (read more here).
