Your chid will make new friends at day care. It is only natural that he/she might like to celebrate his/her birthday at the center with his/her peers. If you would like, bring a birthday treat that can be shared.

Odyssey Day Care Philosophy

Parenting, in a nutshell, is giving your children the tools to succeed in life. We believe that the best way to achieve this is to practice a parenting style called attachment parenting. This practice is a way of caring that brings out the best in parents and their babies. Attachment parenting is a basic tool that we use as well as being sensitive nurturers for your children. We understand that it is very difficult to go back to work and leave your child with surrogate parents, therefore we pledge to do our best job for you and your child. Our philosophy comes mostly from a book that we highly recommend The Baby Book, everything you need to know about your baby from birth to age two, by William Sears, M.D. Also, the Seven Principles of Positive Discipline.

Our goal is to provide all of the children with a clean, safe, comfortable, loving, home-like environment where they can play and learn. Respect toward self, others and the environment will be emphasized. We believe in the value of both structured and flexible schedules. Structured activities will include the use of a preschool curriculum, regular reading times, arts and crafts, math and science, nutrition, language development and social and music activities.

  • After School Program New staff has been added to help tutor our after school students. We will work with each student to help them understand the new concepts that their teachers want them to learn. Additionally, we will try to help students complete their homework and study their spelling words from 3:00 to 3:45. After which we will make sure students have an opportunity to get out and play.
