I once received my BS in EE in 1987 and worked for a while on data trasmission while trying to work on my masters in Communication until I got this oportunity to study abroad. his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Ohio State University Columbus, USA, in 1997 and was a graduate research assistant at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, OH during his Ph.D.
After his PhD from the Ohio State University and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, OH, USA, he worked as a research fellow in the Physiological Imaging Research Laboratory (PIRL) at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN between 1996 and 1998. During his fellowship at Mayo Clinic he worked on microCT projects. He then joined King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSHRC), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and has worked as a senior scientist and Nuclear Medicine physicist in the department of Biomedical Physics at KFSHRC. He has been a commissioner’s fellow at Food and Drug Administration, USA between 2010 and 2011. He has been certified by the American Board of Science in Nuclear Medicine (ABSNM) in two specialties.
His main research interests are radiation dose monitoring in diagnostic imaging, instrumentation and quality control in PET/CT, and advanced image processing and analysis methods to improve image quality and quantification in Molecular Imaging.
