Greetings from Odawa Native Friendship Centre
Board of Directors, Staff and Volunteers
The holiday season is fast approaching. In the spirit of Christmas, the staff of the
Odawa Native Friendship Centre wishes to make this holiday season a joyous
occasion for those less fortunate within our community. Our Christmas Angel Tree project is under
way. As part of this project we try to
provide families with food and gifts for Christmas. Each year as our Christmas wish list grows
longer we try to accommodate as many families as possible. Your generosity through food drives, gift
donations and monetary contributions is essential for Odawa to succeed in this
Last year we discovered that the children in our community
are growing up. We were surprised to
find that most of the children are now over 5 years of age, so we would like to
suggest that when choosing an Angel, you consider one for an older child. There are also a growing number of teens on
our list and we do not want to forget them.
Please consider this age group. Ideas for this age are......
Certificates for: music, movies, books, Department store, fast food, etc.
camera, phone cards
album, journal and pen
scarf, turtleneck, neck warmers, socks
candles and holders
Note cards, stationery
games, posters etc.
Please return your unwrapped gifts by December 14th.
Donations of wrapping paper, scotch tape, etc. are also helpful.
Thanks to all of you who have been so generous in the past
and to those of you are joining this worthy cause this year.
