This week, the Community Alliance for the Ethical Treatment of Youth (CAFETY) announced that it was supporting Occupy JRC by promoting and joining in on the planned June 2nd protest event in Canton, Massachusetts. CAFETY is a member-driven advocacy organization that promotes and secures the human rights of youth in or at risk of residential placement. They are well known for advocating for every child - including children who demonstrate emotional and behavioral differences - to have the right to live with family and be included in their community. You can read more about CAFETY by going to their website.
As a part of their campaign to support Occupy JRC, CAFETY has designed an anti-JRC t-shirt using the Occupy JRC logo. They have pledged that $6.00 of each t-shirt purchase will go to supporting the work of Occupy JRC. You can buy t-shirts at CAFETY on-line store.
