中福社区服务关爱协助homeless的活动 (4/18)

The homeless outreach is going to take place on 4/18/2015. It is fast approaching. We need your help!

今年首次的中福社区服务关爱协助homeless的活动的日子4/18 就在眼前。我们鼓励大家积极参与！

Clothes Needed 捐献衣服

Since Spring is arriving, it's the perfect time to clean our house and start fresh and donate any clean and undamaged clothes. Plus we have not received any clothing donations so far. :(

春暖花开,正是个绝好的机会清理一下我们的衣橱,看看有没有几年没穿过的衣服?过时的?或太小的? 把它们整理干净后，捐献出来给homeless人士,不但做了善事,又让自己家多出空间. 而且目前为止,我们尚未接到任何捐赠的衣服. 哪怕每一家就捐4件干净衣服，就在读完这封电邮，叠好放到车子里，来教会时放到“大学生教室”，积少成多，结果也是会很壮观的。

Volunteers Needed 参与同工

We need three groups of volunteers for this event. The first group starts at 2:30pm and will make lunch, assemble hygiene kits, and sort clothing. The second group will take these supplies, head to Santa Ana and distribute the goods to the homeless at 4:00 p.m.. This group will be in Santa Ana for an hour, from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. The third group will be cooking dinner in the OCCEC kitchen for the entire team, aiming to serve dinner at 6:00pm. Volunteers will debrief and share their experiences over dinner. Anyone that wants to participate can contact Iris Hou (Eng. congregation) at irishou@yahoo.com or me (Sheree Kuo at Chinese congregation) at shereekuo@gmail.com, and specify which group(s) they wish to be in. As our theme for 2015 is " Christ starts at home" we strongly encourage families with children 14 years old and above to participate in this event together.

我们需要多名同工一起参与这次的活动,分成三组. 第一组2:30pm 到教会分装食物和日用品,第二组(需要14岁以上)4: 00pm出发去Santa Ana分发已装好的袋子给homeless,第三组人留在教会准备晚餐，大约6:00pm 第二组回到教会，大家共进晚餐，一起分享服侍的心得.

有感动愿意参加的人, 请联系英文堂的Iris Hou irishou@yahoo.com 或中文堂的Sheree Kuo shereekuo@gmail.com 报名,并注明想要参加哪一组（不限一组，欢迎参加多组）。 今年本教会年度主题为:跟随基督-从家开始, 我们诚心鼓励父母能带领14岁以上的孩子一同参与此次社区服务活动. 相信几小时下来,全家一定能一起感受到"施比受更有福".

Fundraiser on Sunday 4/12/2015

If you can't really donate any clothes or spend any time to serve the homeless people, please at least prepare to purchase some delicious noodles on Sunday during lunch time. Your participation and support of the community services will be appreciated.

若你这次实在没有衣服可以捐 或没时间参加同工, 我们能够理解, 希望在这星期日午餐的时候,可以支持我们的义卖活动,由名厨Tony准备的可口凉面配上浓郁"妈妈口味"茶叶蛋, 届时盼大家慷慨解囊哦!

Homeless Ministry Outreach is a great way to get out of your comfort zone and serve those who are in need. Living in Irvine, we often forget the struggles and hardships people endure to obtain basic necessities. Although there may be a language barrier, love is a universal language. By donating our time and efforts, we can at least offer some comfort and hope to those who are in desperate need. Last Sunday was Easter, and we were reminded by Jesus's two commandments. "...Love your neighor as yourself." Matthew 22:37-39 Let's start it now.

帮助homeless挑战我们走出自己舒适和熟习的环境去帮助需要被关怀的人和外表跟我们不一样的人. 安居在尔湾的我们，很容易忘记就在离我们不远的地方,还有一群连基本生活的条件都不具备的人. 虽然当我们与他们面对面时,也许会有一点语言障碍,但是爱和笑容是世界语言. 我们在尽微薄力量和时间之余, 带给他们的是珍贵的关心和希望, 对他们是多么可贵而难得的啊! 上星期日是复活节，我们再次被提醒到了最大的诫命-爱。"...爱人如己"马太福音22: 37-39. 今天让我们从爱我们的邻舍开始做起吧！并把这事工放在祷告中.
