11am        Rally Masters ($10 drop in)      Marilyn DeRoover
This class will focus on the signs needed for the Masters Rally Class. Dogs and handlers should be comfortable with signs at least through Advanced.

11am        Intro to Open ($10 drop in)            Cindy Jones
Introduction and proofing of open exercises including: heeling, dumbbells, drop on recall, high and broad jumps, out of sight sit and down stays, . This class will include proofing exercises, showmanship, and discussion of rules and regulations.

12pm     Dumbbell 101 ($10 drop in)             Cindy Jones
This class will cover the dumbbell retrieve used in Open obedience. Note: this is a 30 minute class

Looking for a fun way to tire out your dog? Dogs take turns on the agility equipment and learn some fun tricks while they wait. A great way to exercise your dog physically and mentally! This class does not meet the first Monday of each month!

Tuesday
10:30am       Advanced Nosework ($85)          Cindy Jones
This class continues where Nosework 3 left off. You must have taken Nosework 3 or have instructor approval. Limit 6 dogs. *NO DROP INS*

1pm       Rally Run-Throughs  ($10 drop in)              Diane Ahti/Brenda Royer
Rally Run Throughs is designed to help you get ready for your upcoming rally trial. It's a great place to practice what you learned in rally class. A full competition course is set up and instructors are available to help with any questions you may have. 

6pm   Puppy Kindergarten ($70)      Emily Perry   FULL!
Puppy Kindergarten is for puppies six to ten months old. They will learn basic obedience (sit, down, come, leash manners) while improving their social skills. Common behavior issues for older puppies will also be discussed. The STAR Puppy test will be offered at the end of the class for those puppies who did not take the STAR Puppy class. Limit 6 puppies!

6pm     Beginning Obedience ($70)      Shawn and Jacob McGinley 3 Spots Left!
This class is geared towards people who may want to compete with their dog someday or people who are interested in more formal obedience training. Basic obedience commands (sit, stay, down, come, heel, etc) will be covered. Limit 8 dogs!

7pm   Beginning Nosework  ($85)   Cindy Jones  FULL!
Nose Work is a fun new sport that any dog can participate in. The dogs will learn the basics of identifying and alerting you to a scent hidden in a container. It's currently the fastest growing dog sport out there! Limit 6 dogs!


7pm        Let's Get Started:  Rally Signs! ($85)          Mary Ann Schropp  FULL!

If your dog has mastered some beginning obedience commands....you may be ready to tackle the sport of Rally.  Rally is an obedience based sport which consists of handlers/dogs proceeding through a course of 10-15 signs.  At each sign, the dog and handler performs the exercise indicated on the sign.  Handlers are allowed to talk to, and encourage, their dog.  This class will include the basic rules of Rally and focus on learning and performing the 42 Novice Rally signs, and some of the 22 Intermediate Rally signs, if time permits.   Because Novice and Intermediate Levels of Rally are performed on-leash, dogs should be able to walk on a loose leash.  Commands will include sit, down, front, finish left, finish right, stay, and various turns and footwork.    Limit 8 dogs



Wednesday

Does your dog behave fine at home but lose his mind when he’s out walking? Does he pull on the leash and bark when he sees a squirrel or dog? Does he jump on Grandma when she comes to dinner? The Family Dog is designed to help a dog learn self-control so that he can be out in public around people and other dogs. A dog that walks nicely on a leash and sits quietly when meeting new people is a dog that can go more places with his family! Dogs should wear a flat buckle collar, a martingale, or a harness. LIMIT 8 dogs
10am   Positively Intermediate ($10 drop in)    Linda Alkema
Positively Obedient Intermediate focuses improving loose leash walking/heeling, recalls, and stays with distractions, etc. Dogs should have taken Family Dog or another basic obedience class.

Positively Obedient Advanced continues where Intermediate left off.  All basic obedience exercises are covered along with competitive exercises and proofing.

Family Dog 2 picks up where Family Dog left off.  Emphasis will be on loose leash walking/heeling, sit/down stays, and recalls....while continuing to use the elements learned in Family Dog (mat training, park, sit/down,and leave it).  Class will cover the basic skills necessary to participate in canine sports such as Obedience, Rally, Agility, Freestyle, Nose Work, etc.  Must have taken level Family Dog or have instructor approval. LIMIT 8 dogs

Come check out the fast growing sport of Barn Hunt! Dogs learn to navigate obstacles to find rats safely hidden in tubes in the straw. All experience levels are welcome to drop in between 6:30 and 8:30!

This class will focus on the exercises needed for a dog to compete in the AKC Beginner Novice class (heel, sit stay, down stay, recall, figure eight, long sit in middle). Dogs should already know basic obedience (heel, sit, stay, etc).


1:30pm    Agility Run Throughs ($10)    Pete Ostlund
Agility run-through courses in the larger ring will focus on developing handling skills with one or two non-jump obstacles in addition to several jumps.  The smaller ring will be for training your dog how to use obstacles.  This is not a beginner's agility class.  Handlers should already be familiar with agility.  Some limited instruction will be provided as needed.

6:30pm      Therapy Dogs in the Real World ($85)       Cady Ness-Smith  3 Spots Left!

This class prepares dog/handler teams for therapy dog testing and certification.  It will also cover skills needed for CGC and Community Canine.

    Weeks 1-5:  skills and knowledge for therapy dog certification and visits

    Week 6:  Love On A Leash therapy dog testing

    Dog Scout testing can be done at same time.

Requires Family Dog 1 or other basic obedience. Dogs must be at least 1 year old to be tested  Limit 8 dogs


7pm   Competition Obedience Skills ($10 drop in)   Kim Cassida    
Handlers will learn how to polish and proof skills that are used in all levels of competition, such as fronts, finishes, the new position changes, heeling, jumping, retrieving, stays and more.  Individual exercises can be tailored to teams competing on all levels, from beginner novice to utility. Prerequisites: Dogs should be able to heel at a beginner level, come when called, and stay.
