Oasis California welcomes you!

Here's our plan for SF Pride 2015:

First we encourage all of our Oasis California congregations to celebrate Pride in their own way this month,. We will be glad to publicize what you are doing (deadline - please send info and illustrations to us  at communications@oasiscalifornia.org by 9 a.m. Thursday,  June 19).

Second, we encourage you to watch the SF Pride Parade Sunday June 28 and visit the Festival Grounds which are open both Saturday and Sunday.

We asked a couple of times and found that less than five people were able to help this year. That's not enough support to do either the parade or a booth and do it well.  So this year we are not sponsoring a marching contingent nor are we hosting a booth on the festival grounds. That's hardly the end of the world as we know it. We have a number of interesting ideas for what Oasis could do. We're also open to the idea that Oasis may have fulfilled our mission and it is time to disband.

Third, we hope you will join us in September when we hold a meeting to discuss where Oasis should go in the years ahead - if indeed there is a role for Oasis here at the Diocese of California.
