  • Relay For Life - Request for Pictures for Luminary Ceremony

    Dear OTHS Parents and Guardians,

    To honour those who have battled cancer or are currently battling cancer, we are accepting pictures to show on the night of our Relay for Life event. The pictures will be displayed on a projector during the Survivors' Lap.

    If your student would like to submit a photograph of a loved one that has been affected by cancer, they can email the photo to the Relay for Life Committee at Please have the student include the name of the individual in the photo along with their relationship to the person. A short message may also be included with the picture.

  • Halton Skills Home Building Competition

    On Tuesday, March 28th Chad Nadin, Dave Hayman, Carter Lockbaum and Kieran Thompson competed in the home building competition at Halton Skills. Tasked with building a small shed, the group displayed fantastic team work and a great ability to problem solve. Their hard work and superior craftsmanship was rewarded with a gold medal! The group will be moving on, and competing at the Ontario Skills Competition in Mississauga in early May. Congratulations gentlemen!

    Financial Supports in Post-Secondary: Optimizing Grade 12 Scholarship Applications

    Please join us on Tuesday June 6th, 2017 @ 7 p.m. for our final Community Connections event of the school year.

    The topic will be Financial Supports in Post-Secondary: Optimizing Grade 12 Scholarship Applications

    This session, hosted by Guidance & our Gifted Education Resource Support Teacher will help you gain an understanding of the necessary groundwork that goes into a grade 12 scholarship application.  We will review what Leadership, Initiative, Innovation and other components look like when it comes to scholarships, and will discuss ways students are able to build their experiences in these areas.

  • EQAO Grade 9 Assessment of Math (June 2017)

    The EQAO Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics will be administered on June 15, 2017  and June 16, 2017 to our semester two grade 9 math students during regular math classes. Details regarding this assessment were emailed to the Parents/Guardians of semester 2 grade 9 math students.  These details are also attached below.

  • Community Connections - May 2nd

    Social Media, Substance Use and Concerns in High School Today 

    Please join us on Tuesday, May 2nd at 7:00 p.m. for an in-depth presentation from our Community Liaison Officer, Vanessa Reynolds. Vanessa will speak about the realities and challenges facing our students as it relates to social media, and will explore other complex issues facing our youth in Oakville. Vanessa will also share the police perspective around substance use in our community. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A.

    Please note that unfortunately students are not invited to attend this presentation, as the Community Officer has designed the messaging specifically for parents and guardians.
