We were thrilled to attend the GSCC National Specialty along with other related shows and specialties at the end of August in Long Sault, ON. The picturesque show site overlooking the St. Lawrence River is located in the Woodlands Campground. Dolly strutted her stuff in the ring, coming home with the reserve winners female rosette at the National as well as winners female in one of the all-breed shows. Thanks to the organizers for a wonderful weekend!

Dolly, Xenaran Oakisle Kachina Doll, completed the Rally Novice title in three straight trials at the Crocus Kennel & Obedience Club shows in Brandon, Manitoba this past weekend. The enticing smells of the horse arena plus handler errors affected her scores, but now we know what to work on for the next level. Thanks to Instructors Katherina and Sharon!

New Titles for Fraser

Fraser and I tried our hands and paws at Rally Obedience at the Wheat City Kennel Club shows in Brandon, Manitoba and came home with a new Rally Novice title with one high score in class, as well as the first leg in the Intermediate class. This gives Fraser the performance requirement for the CKC Grand Champion Excellent title! We must watch out for the toys used as distractions in the Figure 8 exercise, since Fraser can barely resist toys!

We made the trip to Frankenmuth, Michigan to take part in the GSCA National, October 2 - 7, 2017. Judith's Kendrew ( CH Xenaran Sassenach Kendrew JH), Dolly's brother, took Best in "Teen Challenge", a conformation event for dogs 18 - 24 months of age. Both Dolly and Kendrew showed off their hunting skills in the Hunt Test and Field Trial, getting rave reviews from the judges, but no ribbons this time. Thanks to the organizing committees for a wonderful week!
