Applicants must be motivating and enthusiastic.
Early education experience preferred.
This is a part-time, year-round position
including summer camp.

Bright Beginnings Preschool Program

    Bright Beginnings is a new recreational preschool program located at the Don Gorman Recreation Center. The objective of this program is to help children develop the skills needed to successfully transition into kindergarten. The curriculum includes activities that promote alphabet, number and name recognition, strengthen small motor skills by coloring, cutting, painting and gluing, and large motor skills through physical activities, musical instruments and organized play. Children will also have snack time & circle time. Children must be potty-trained.

Who: Children 3 – 4 yrs.
Location: Don Gorman Recreation Center
Day(s): Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 9:30am-12:00pm

Community Gardens

Are you Looking for a place to garden because you just don't have the space, or do you just not have the time to till and prepare a garden spot in your yard?  If so, look no further!  The Oak Forest Park District is offering 2 convenient community garden sites with the ability to grow vegetables, herbs, or flowers.  Gardeners will have their plot prepared for planting and the rest is up to you!  We have gardens at 151st & Long Ave. with spots being 10'x30' and spots at 167th & Lockwood with spots being 10'x20'.  Call Kirstin at 687-7270 x 132 for pricing and more info.
