Oak Bark Ensemble

Joan Trapp, Piano and Richard Legg, Violoncello

Mission

OBE is dedicated to continuing the tradition of presenting small ensemble chamber music in casual settings.  In addition to standard repertoire, OBE is especially interested in presenting modern works written for this smallest of chamber ensembles.

Artists

Joan Trapp is Professor emeritus of Music at St. Ambrose University.  She holds degrees in piano performance from Northwestern University and the University of Iowa.  In addition to solo performance and her work with OBE, she is a member of SanTrapp Duo.

Richard Legg is Professor emeritus of Biology at St. Ambrose University.  He holds multiple degrees that are of no use to OBE, but plays a lovely modern instrument made by Polish master luthier Jan Bobak.
