2012 Home

The New York Women in Mathematics and Computing network and workshops aim to foster mentoring and collaboration among female faculty and Ph.D students at CUNY and New York metropolitan area. The workshops will address three aspects of academic careers: teaching, research (publication & grant), and leadership.
There will be two events: 
Forward to Professorship: This first workshop is an event featuring four talks (regarding teaching, publishing and grant writing, women in science and women in leadership), a panel discussion and a poster session presenting the research of participatants. Check the program here.
The first workshop is going to take place on March 3rd 2012 at City Tech, CUNY (for directions see here).
Leadership in higher Education: The second workshop is featuring a panel discussion addressing leadership in higher education. Check the program here.
The second workshop is going to take place on April 27th 2012 at GC  CUNY (for directions see here).
