Julia earned her BS in Civil Engineering with Structural and Architectural concentrations from Clarkson University in May 2015. Upon graduation, she joined AECOM as a structural engineer in the transportation department in Latham, NY. 

Julia was an active member in her collegiate section, where she participated in several committees and held the positions of Secretary and President. As a professional member, she has previously held the positions of Section Representative and Vice President of the NYSCD Section. Julia has also been involved at the Regional level as Region F Collegiate Representative and Region F Secretary. She currently serves as FY18 Region F Treasurer.

In her free time, Julia enjoys horseback riding, outdoor activities with her puppy, and volunteering.

Emily Frantz
Nuclear Engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding


Emily earned her BS in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in May 2015.  Upon graduation, she joined Newport News Shipbuilding as an engineer in maintaining naval reactor prototypes used to train sailors in Ballston Spa, NY. 
In addition to her work with Newport News, Emily is a licensed Senior Reactor Operator and teaches a critical reactor laboratory class at RPI's test reactor in Schenectady, NY.

As an active leader in NYSCD SWE, Emily has previously held the positions of Membership Director and President.

Natalie Olivieri
Junior Engineer at McFarland Johnson, Inc. 
 


Natalie graduated from Clarkson University in May 2018 with her BS in Civil Engineering. Upon graduation, she joined McFarland Johnson as a Junior Engineer in the Aviation department at their Saratoga Springs location.

Natalie was an active member of her collegiate section, where she was Secretary and Director of Membership.

In her free time, Natalie enjoys skiing, outdoor activities, reading, and doing yoga.

Jordan LeClair EIT, 
Design Engineer at Fort Miller Co. 


Jordan earned her BS in Civil Engineering with Structural and Architectural concentrations from Clarkson University in May 2015.

Upon graduation, she joined McFarland Johnson, Inc. in their Saratoga Springs office as a junior engineer in the aviation division. Jordan now works as a Design Engineer at the Fort Miller Company in Greenwich, NY. 

Jordan was an active member in her collegiate section, where she was Treasurer and President. During her senior year, she was awarded the Region F Emerging Leader Award.    

In her free time, Jordan enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with her husband.

Iris A. Galvez

Iris holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez, and a MS in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University.

She has worked in the Semiconductor industry for 11+ years in companies like IBM, Motorola, Intel and most recently, at GLOBALFOUNDRIES in Malta, NY.

In addition to being an engineer, Iris is a licenced Zumba instructor teaching 3 classes a week. Oustide of work, Iris enjoys traveling, baking and spending time with family.

Katie Francis 
Process Sciences Associate at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals 


Katie earned her BS in Chemical Engineering and Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Connecticut in 2017. Upon graduation, she joined Regeneron Pharmaceuticals as a process sciences associate in Rensselaer, NY.

In her collegiate career, Katie served in several section, region and society roles including UConn section secretary and president as well as Region F collegiate senator.


Outside of being an engineer, Katie enjoys cooking, hiking, martial arts and traveling.

Nicole Clancy

Nicole earned her BS in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in May 2018. 

Nicole was an active member in her collegiate section senior year. She was also involved in her sorority Alpha Omega Epsilon, a professional and social sorority promoting women in STEM, holding various positions such as outreach chair, membership chair, and alumnae relations chair. Throughout her time in college, she also played on the DIII Varsity Field Hockey team as a forward. 

In her free time, Nicole enjoys being active, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Meghan Castellano
Installed Capacity Market Operations Engineer, NYISO


Meghan graduated from Clarkson University in 2014 with a BS in Engineering & Management, accompanied by a concentration in Sustainable Energy Systems Engineering. Currently, she is an Engineer at the New York Independent System Operator in Rensselaer, NY. 
 
Meghan has recently developed a professional relationship with SWE, becoming a first-time member in 2016 while initiating the NYISO’s Corporate Membership. She has been heavily involved in the national SWE conference career fairs in hopes of recruiting talented individuals passionate about the electric/energy industry. In addition to planning NYISO-SWE internal meetings and lunch-n-learns, Meghan is active in the company’s employee events committee and also spearheaded a Ski Club for her fellow colleagues to enjoy.

She can be most commonly found skiing, deep sea fishing, experimenting in the kitchen, practicing yoga, and traveling.
