Our History

The NYSCD SWE section was founded in 2002 with the mission of bringing together professional engineering women in the Capital District area. NYSCD SWE offers monthly activities that include educational, professional, networking, and outreach events. See our calendar for upcoming activities. Our featured outreach event is the annual Merit Awards dinner held in May, where we honor local high school juniors for their achievements in science and math. We are always looking for new ideas for SWE events: tours, educational programs, workshop topics, outreach activities, etc. If you have any suggestions, please contact us at nyscdswe@gmail.com.
