NWTCA raised $1472 for Gonpo Tsering's life saving treatment.

Please help Machik raise $30,000 for Gonpo Tsering's life-saving treatment.

Gonpo Tsering, 17, is a young Tibetan at the Chungba Middle School recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and diabetes. He has been hospitalized for several weeks and is in critical condition. His family, who are semi-nomadic farmers, and their friends have already exhausted their resources caring for Gonpo.

Gonpo's Chungba classmates immediately started fundraising for their friend at his time of greatest need. Machik volunteers from Tibet, China and the US are also building support through social media and a postcard campaign. So far, $20,000 USD has been raised but Gonpo needs an additional $30,000 for life-saving treatment.

As requested by Machik, NWTCA will collect donations during our community meeting on Sunday, March 24th for Gonpo's treatment.
