Accepting Registration for Summer Camp 2019

posted May 13, 2019, 8:16 PM by NWTCA ORWA   [ updated May 13, 2019, 9:02 PM ]
Summer Camp for Tibetan School age children was envisioned and pioneered by NWTCA, in 1998. A week long overnight camp was held at Camp Wa-Ri-Ki, a secluded several acreage land with modern facility in Washington State.

In 2007, under the guidance and partnership with Office of Tibet the format changed to Tibetan Junior immersion camp open to all participants from North America. Since 2015, NWTCA, once again took the sole responsibility; the venue has changed from overnight structure at camp Wa-Ri-Ki to a Day structure camp at our Bhodkang, for the reason of cost effectiveness and space availability. The summer camp is open to all Tibetan children regardless of NWTCA membership. It is for imparting valuable lessons of Tibetan culture and tradition to our younger generation, besides nurturing friendship and a weeklong fun. For a change, Summer Camp 2019 will be a combination of both Bodkhang and Camp Wa-Ri-Ki.
