NWSOFA Gun Violence Prevention: National Day of Action - Newtown Anniversary

It has been one year since the tragic events in Newtown, Connecticut, where 26 Americans lost their lives to gun violence. Despite overwhelming public support for expanding background checks for gun sales, Congress has failed to act. Join local supporters as we remember Newtown and ask Congress: What will it take to make our communities safer? We will gather to remember the victims and families of Newtown and make our voices heard as we join together as a community and as a country to call on Congress to work to prevent gun violence. Will you be able to join us? Wear a green ribbon in remembrance of Newtown, bring your signs that say "We are Newtown" and invite your friends and neighbors so that our voices are heard loud and clear on this issue.
